Hollywood based composer, Matthew Ferraro, was given the rights to Pope John Paul II’s poetry. With the Vatican’s approval, he was meant to transform them into pop songs. Over the past eight years, the project has taken its toll: looming bankruptcy, marital problems and a loss of faith that has nearly broken him.
In 2012, work on Matthew’s project came to a halt. A recent break through means Matthew’s project and filming is scheduled to resume in late 2015.
